Sales & Marketing Manager

Our client, a leader in developing and manufacturing innovative, customized chemical products since 1963, is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager to join their team. With decades of experience and expertise in parallel technologies and custom product development methodology, they are the partner of choice for public and private sector organizations and OEMs nationwide. The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned markets. The Sales & Marketing Manager must staff and direct a sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth, in line with the company vision and values. Additional responsibilities include establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of training and educational programs for clients, business development, customer service, and account managers. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a sales and marketing strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

Coach the performance and development of business development and territory representatives, customer service and account management, including preparation of proposals and presentations, responding to RFPs, and contract reviews.

Provides Annual Sales & Marketing Plan with goals and budgets by fourth quarter of each year for the subsequent year.

Provides direction to business development and account management for daily, monthly, and quarterly activities.

Analyze markets and generate leads utilizing market data software.

Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.

Ensures that all business development and account managers meet or exceed all activity requirements for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.

Maintain contact with customers in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Reconcile any high level issues at customer site.

Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employee and business disciplines.

Maintain sales budgets.

Manage Customer Relationship Management system/ACT.

Review and develop Statements of Work for business development requests, and proposals, presentations, and RFPs.

Review and execute CAPAs for customer complaints.

Generate pricing for Business Development with Controller.

Conduct feasibility evaluation for Custom Product Development and prospect markets.

Utilize Hoover Market Research tool for lead generation and market analysis.

Coordinate marketing campaigns in accordance with sales and marketing plan.

Facilitate communication with Lab, Customer Service, Operations, to meet requirements of customers. 

Provides timely feedback to management team regarding performance and all customer issues. In addition, provides pricing for new product opportunities working with the Controller and Operations Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

Peachtree, Office 365/SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, Strong organizational skills, 5-7 years’ of experience in Sales Management, Experience with CRM and Market Research Index Systems, Strong understanding of Customer and Market Dynamics and Requirements, Willingness to travel, Hoovers lead generation and market analysis software, Understand the responsibilities and requirements of Lab, Controller, Customer Service, and Operations.
